Our site has been developed to Support people with Vision Impairment

You were probably not aware that over 50 million Americans aged over 45 have some form of vision impairment. About 18% of those affected are legally blind.

Through our volunteer work in rescue we became close friends with a legally blind lady who works at Apple on accessibility projects. Through her, we’ve seen some of the many initiates they have taken. It was a learning experience for us.

Here are just a few of the things we have done at PupWalks:

1) Pages have clear explanative title to support screen readers.

2) We have used a high contrast approach to make it easier to read.

3) We use Squarespace - they have many inbuilt features in their style sheets to support accessibility.

4) We’ve used the consistently colored and shaped action button - you can see it below

If you have any suggestions, we’d love to hear them!
